The One, Inc. is a local organization that aims to meet the needs of our homeless neighbors in order to help them get to where they want in life through having access to basic self-care and survival needs. They have a fleet of vans and a branch dedicated to ensuring that as many of these individuals have their needs met called “The Van” that travels the state everyday to bring supplies such as food, firewood, water, and clothing to the homeless camps. A more recent development of this organization is a branch called “The House.” The House is a women’s shelter that provides a home for the homeless women and mothers in Central Arkansas. This shelter is in need of some restoration and donations to help keep the shelter up and running safely and to help keep these women in a healthy, supportive environment so they can keep working to reach their life goals. For the month of July, Arkansas Yoga Collective will be selling purple "The Van" shirts (which were designed specifically to help bring awareness to the women’s shelter). Along with raising money through selling the shirts, on Friday, July 10th Kayce will lead a donation-based all-levels yoga class from 6:30-8:00 pm. We will also accept donations freely all month long for those who are unable to make the class or who just feel especially moved to give back. :) All proceeds will be donated to The House.
